Blog Reflection: Analysis and Design
What have you learned from the analysis?
I have learned that understanding the learning problem fully contributes to successful analysis. This in turn assist in correctly summarizing and identifying the existing knowledge gaps that contribute to the overall problem. When analysis is identified appropriately it assures the training is relevant and useful, because it will reduce the chance of creating goals and objectives that do not align your target audience and stakeholders.
My Personal Theory of Learning
How I think people learn and why?
I feel and agree with the objectivist model approach to learning because it resembles a high level of master to apprentice way of transferring knowledge from instructor to student. The instructor has mastered the materials being taught and therefore should control the pace and the material being presented to the learner.
My theory of the way people learn is mostly dependent on how much knowledge and information they currently have when compared the any new information they are seeking to add and learn. Some people may pace or manage the amount of information they might plan to retain in order to avoid over absorbing too much information all at once which may lead to them not being to retain, use it or affectively actually process and learn. Having a method of being able to organize new information that is being presented , cognitively process and recall information when needed facilitates learning in some instances. Some people I have encountered in Corporate America and College tend to learn better in group settings because they value the positive reinforcement they receive from others in the group that motivates and provides positive feedback and confidence is understanding what is being learned. Being able to Collaborate with others provides a quick an available path to verify what you are learning as a status check on evaluating the information as it is learned.
Virtual learning is another way in which people learn more effectively as they are able to engage with the learning material or environment in which they are learning from. People are to practice what they learn by performing actions in a virtual setting, which provides positive and negative re-enforcement of the learning material. It solidifies and maps physically by touch and visually the information learned more easily to the subjects and topics being practiced virtually. Simulation in learning allows students to problem solve errors they might encounter while learning.
Self pace learning is another very well because it allows the learning audience to control hast fast or slow they able to learn the material. It keeps the learning audience more interested because the time frame of learning is more broad and takes pressure of individuals forced to learn at the pace of other learners in a group due to the the managed pace of the instructor. Learners do well virtually when they are able to apply new knowledge to what they are learning while demonstrating it within their learning environment.
I tend to learn better using Cognitive learning strategies. I learn better this way because I enjoy having a baseline of information that is reinforced by the instructor and then I build additional knowledge and process it more effectively in a organized way which allows to me to understand it better as the knowledge is increased. Understanding what I have learned while relating it to problem material provides a stronger connection to the theory of what is being taught and learned. Cognitive learning more easily allows for learners to summarize in their own thoughts and words while implementing solutions and new ways or ideas to utilize what they have learned effectively.
Instructor console and stand alone learning with computers allow learners to demonstrate and mimic what they have learned from the instructor which may provide confidence and positive reinforcement to the learners to acknowledge mentally they have understand what is being presented and taught by the instructor. I feel the sociocultural way of learning would not be very affective because learning is based more on the interpretation on the learner which tends to be more subjective and not factual in the context of information being presented to be learned.

What were the goals of the instruction? Goals: (1).To understand how to connect to a Wi-Fi network on a Windows computer. (2).How to create and show your Wi-Fi password in network settings. (3). Understand essential Network settings and tasks in Windows.
How effective was it? It was Very effective as this is something I will utilize each time I use a laptop or desktop computer for work and home. I can transfer the skills and knowledge of what I have learned to a real world performance daily as needed. The needs of the intended audience were met as this training is for anyone that uses a laptop, desktop, mobile device to connect to them to a Wi-Fi network. This instructional training took into account what audience already new which is how to use a computer and correctly identified a need which is to use windows computers to connect to the internet via a wireless connection like Wi Fi.
What are three things you learned that you are not likely to forget? (1). How to connect to Wi-Fi network using a QR code. (2.) How to determine if I am connected or disconnected to Wi-Fi network. (3.) How to show or hide my Wi-Fi network Password.
Based on what you have read about instructional design, how important is this field to your future work goals? Instructional Design is extremely important to my future work goals. Proper implementation of any training curriculum in corporate IT will be dependent on how effective instructional materials, training, assessments successfully align with learning needs. Being a Subject Matter Expert is an functional role that i will have to perform as a part of future work goals in Project Management and I.T. Service Operations by providing training during project demonstrations and user acceptance testing.
